Where Did the Time Go.

I was dedicated to posting but somehow days became weeks, and now I am almost done with phase 2 of the HCG diet. With only 10 days left, I am hoping to make it to my goal! I am only 4 pounds aways from making the 37 pounds goal, which yes that means I have lost a total of 33 pounds (that is a lot of butter). I am hoping to lose at least 10 more pounds before all is said and done. If I can just get past the Memorial Day Barbeques, and the Birthday party this week, I think I will make it!

Day 10-17

Crazy busy week! A friend of mine is also doing the HCG diet and just started about a week ago. She decided to go with the drops, but she is not very happy with them, and is hungry all the time. With the shots I have not been hungry at all. I never thought I would be able to do this diet with only 500 calories, I mean I LOVE food. I do miss my favorite Bajio salad, and my turkey sandwiches, but I have also learned to understand that my world does not need to revolve around food, not to mention I have saved a ton of money by not eating out at lunch or dinner!

So how far am I down? 20 pounds! that is 20 packs of butter, and 2 10 pound sacks of sugar! It isn't easy but seeing those number in a 2 week time period, that helps!

Day 9, How Many Pounds?

I have been weighing in every day and every day I lose a pound or 2 or 3 but I decided that I would post once a week how many pounds I am down, although I may change my mind. :-)
Today was a very hard day, it was raining outside so I was stuck inside all day. I didn't cheat, I was good, even though I really wanted to dive into the remaining Lays Potato chips. We ended the night by going bowling, got a little bit of exercise and stayed away from the snack bar.

So how far am I down? I have lost a total of 13 pounds, and I can tell the difference in the shirt that I wore today. We aren't talking baggy, but it was looser.

We will see what next week brings, hopefully the cravings will continue to lessen, and maybe I can come up with some new spices for the chicken.

ONE WEEK!

I have been giving myself shots for one week! I have stuck to my diet even when it was very hard. Today our group went out for Mexican food for lunch, and I do love Mexican food. It was so tempting to say ohhh I could cheat this one day, but I was strong, I had my chicken in the fridge and I stayed strong!
I am realizing how out of control the portions are in the United States, and I am figuring out how I became in this state. When I think about what I ate I just can't believe it. For example, the $5 footlong at Subway, WHAT A DEAL!!!! But really who needs that extra foot? I THOUGHT I did! It made my $3.79 sandwich only $1.20 more for twice the food, and who likes to waste a good value????? I will from this point out, that extra foot put on a lot of extra on me! That is one thing that I am grateful for with this diet is that it does help you learn to control your portions.

Day 7, it is getting easier . . . kind of.

I had my chicken with onions today, it was pretty good, although I did stink up the lunchroom at work. I still have cravings, but they are getting easier to pass by. I took our other dog out for a walk and that seemed to help, nothing like a little bit of exercise and fresh air to clear your mind.

Weigh In Report Day 6

The day has began with being 10 pounds down from my starting weight. WOO HOO, that is 10 packs of butter gone! I have a long way to go, but if i just keep thinking in terms of how much a pound is, it does get easier.

Everyone at work and home have been super supportive, which makes it that much easier. We even had a hot dog roast outside on the fire, and I didn't cheat!

Day 5 - A Very Sad Day

It has been one of those days. Our Golden Retriever was put down today so not eating has been easy as I lost my appetite. Not a lot to say today.
