Where Did the Time Go.

I was dedicated to posting but somehow days became weeks, and now I am almost done with phase 2 of the HCG diet. With only 10 days left, I am hoping to make it to my goal! I am only 4 pounds aways from making the 37 pounds goal, which yes that means I have lost a total of 33 pounds (that is a lot of butter). I am hoping to lose at least 10 more pounds before all is said and done. If I can just get past the Memorial Day Barbeques, and the Birthday party this week, I think I will make it!

Day 10-17

Crazy busy week! A friend of mine is also doing the HCG diet and just started about a week ago. She decided to go with the drops, but she is not very happy with them, and is hungry all the time. With the shots I have not been hungry at all. I never thought I would be able to do this diet with only 500 calories, I mean I LOVE food. I do miss my favorite Bajio salad, and my turkey sandwiches, but I have also learned to understand that my world does not need to revolve around food, not to mention I have saved a ton of money by not eating out at lunch or dinner!

So how far am I down? 20 pounds! that is 20 packs of butter, and 2 10 pound sacks of sugar! It isn't easy but seeing those number in a 2 week time period, that helps!

Day 9, How Many Pounds?

I have been weighing in every day and every day I lose a pound or 2 or 3 but I decided that I would post once a week how many pounds I am down, although I may change my mind. :-)
Today was a very hard day, it was raining outside so I was stuck inside all day. I didn't cheat, I was good, even though I really wanted to dive into the remaining Lays Potato chips. We ended the night by going bowling, got a little bit of exercise and stayed away from the snack bar.

So how far am I down? I have lost a total of 13 pounds, and I can tell the difference in the shirt that I wore today. We aren't talking baggy, but it was looser.

We will see what next week brings, hopefully the cravings will continue to lessen, and maybe I can come up with some new spices for the chicken.

ONE WEEK!

I have been giving myself shots for one week! I have stuck to my diet even when it was very hard. Today our group went out for Mexican food for lunch, and I do love Mexican food. It was so tempting to say ohhh I could cheat this one day, but I was strong, I had my chicken in the fridge and I stayed strong!
I am realizing how out of control the portions are in the United States, and I am figuring out how I became in this state. When I think about what I ate I just can't believe it. For example, the $5 footlong at Subway, WHAT A DEAL!!!! But really who needs that extra foot? I THOUGHT I did! It made my $3.79 sandwich only $1.20 more for twice the food, and who likes to waste a good value????? I will from this point out, that extra foot put on a lot of extra on me! That is one thing that I am grateful for with this diet is that it does help you learn to control your portions.

Day 7, it is getting easier . . . kind of.

I had my chicken with onions today, it was pretty good, although I did stink up the lunchroom at work. I still have cravings, but they are getting easier to pass by. I took our other dog out for a walk and that seemed to help, nothing like a little bit of exercise and fresh air to clear your mind.

Weigh In Report Day 6

The day has began with being 10 pounds down from my starting weight. WOO HOO, that is 10 packs of butter gone! I have a long way to go, but if i just keep thinking in terms of how much a pound is, it does get easier.

Everyone at work and home have been super supportive, which makes it that much easier. We even had a hot dog roast outside on the fire, and I didn't cheat!

Day 5 - A Very Sad Day

It has been one of those days. Our Golden Retriever was put down today so not eating has been easy as I lost my appetite. Not a lot to say today.

Day 4

Ok, I have to get more clever with my titles . . . give me a few days.

Today I met with the doctor which was good. I was a little hungry but not too bad. I took our Golden out for a walk to keep me out of the kitchen. I had to make "dirt cups" for my little girls preschool class but I did not eat one oreo or any pudding!!!!!!

I drank a ton of water, ok well I drank 64 oz of water, the daily amount any human should drink, but for me I think I spent more time in the bathroom then at my desk. Apparently my body is not used to getting water and is not sure what to do with it yet, or at least that is how the Dr. explained it to me. After a while it should start using it, but she also would like to see me drink up to a gallon of water a day!!!! A GALLON!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong there was a time in my life that, that was all I would drink and I do like water, I don't hate it, but A GALLON?!?!? My body better adjust quick or else my new office will become the ladies restroom.

Day 3

It was my first day of the 500 calories which wasn't bad, but for some reason when your mind knows it can't have something . . . it wants it more.  I was tempted by the remaining birthday cake in the fridge all day, and finally told John that I wasn't coming home until it was gone.  The weird thing is that the day before when I was fat loading it didn't even tempt me.

Day 2 Part 2

I have just enjoyed my last bucket of popcorn and even treated me to a Dr. Pepper at the movie.  I am excited and hopeful for tomorrow and the days that follow.  I don't want to even think about eating more fat!  I started to feel sick as I ate some left over pizza. The good new is that my husband is going to cook dinner for the next 40 days which will make it easier to resist temptation.  The further away I am from the kitchen the better!  So here is to starting over with new habits . . . healthier habits, and better health.

Day 2

I think I have figured out why they want you to fat load on the first 2 days. You will never really want to eat it again!!!! It was great to go out to Boones with my mom and order onion rings and a mushroom swiss burger and have absolutely no guilt, or eat the chinese chicken pizza and birthday cake for dinner, but today my body is not enjoying the junk like I thought I would. I need to go buy my food scale today so that I can start weighing my chicken for the week. I decided that since Sunday's are usually more relaxed I would use that day to prepare my food for the week. I am still excited and the shot went well again this morning. I have taken a picture of myself in a dress that does not fit so super great and I am hoping to be able to be in the dress soon . . . not to mention some really cute white capris that I love!!!

Day 1

I did it, I gave myself my first shot. I hate needles and I really hate shots, but it really wasn't that bad!  I didn't even feel it! Now for fat loading, I think I am going to McDonalds for a bacon egg biscuit, it doesn't get more fatty than that!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

That is what I will be eating for the next 45 days, chicken dinner. I am very excited to have been chosen to win the HCG Diet. There is a lot of controversy over this diet, but nothing could convince me not to do it! What diet could be better than one where you get to eat as much junk food as you want (OK that is only for the first 2 days, after that we are talking 500 cal. a day).
I will blog it all, the good days the bad days and the days that I may really be craving those Hostess Cupcakes that brought me here in the first place. Oh and the other thing, bye bye Mr. Diet Coke. For the next 45 days my diet will consist of 4 oz. of chicken, shrimp or fish, (but since I do not like shrimp or fish, my diet will be chicken) lettuce, onions, tomatoes, a handful of strawberries, and a Melba toast. . . OH and LOT'S of WATER!!! I used to love water until I met Mr. Diet Coke.
In the next 45 days I should be down 37 pounds, I will also be tracking inches lost and also the ever so popular body fat loss. If you want more information on the diet just click on the link below, there is even a coupon code if you decide you want to give it a try!

Stay tuned, the fun has just begun . . .
